Jane wiped away her last tears and caressed John's cheek again. She felt Meg's hand on her shoulder, but couldn't say a word. Jane stared away into nowhere. She felt kinda empty. It wasn't that she loved him. He was just a good friend. But somehow... She felt lost now.

Meg was speechless. She just watched Jane still in shock of the whole situation. She sat down and just closed her eyes keeping her thoughts sealed inside.

(OOC: oops ^^' sorry for making a full page of sadness for being offline XD @Jane: it's not quite a surprise really-it might only surprise Jane not you XD Razz )

John felt Jane near him.
"What happened?" she asked.
"The jaguar.." he said motoining to his wound.

He knew he was dying and these were his last breaths. "...Jane" He said fainty "Thank you...-" he struggled to breathe "..for being the truest friend to me" Jane had not known it, but John trusted her enough to tell her about Odette before, and he's never told anyone other than her. "If you ever see her, tell her.." John could no longer find the energy to talk but he asumed Jane understood.

"Goodbye my friend" He said just before his eyes froze and his heart-beats stopped.

(OOC:yays! dramatic me XD I don't think Eris could bring him back to life if my homeworks get any lighter? [I know that would be a soap-opera XD] I shall go try finish them! wish me luck, they count in with the final exam)

{OOC: I'm sorry I haven't really been active so far, but I will try to chance that from now on :3 }

Jim stared at the dying man. In that instant Jim realized how dangerous this place could be. He would really have to be careful.
Jim watched John slowly die before their eyes. He had barely known him even though they had spent some time together on the island. Watching him die was no different than any other stranger, but Jim had never gotten used to seeing people die. It was not a very pleasant sight. He remained silent as he looked away from the body.

He made a few steps closer to Jane, enough to let clear that he was there if she needed him, but not enough to actually disturb her. When the ma opened his eye and talked he jumped a bit for the surprise, for a second he hoped that he could do something, but he realized immediatly that it wasn't possible... it was too late for him...

Meg clutched onto Jane's arm. She snuggled her face into her shoulder. She knew what it was like to see someone die in front you. "I'm sorry," was all she whispered.

Jim walked further away from the group who was standing around the dead man. He didn't like sentimental moments like that, especially when the people involved had nothing to do with him.
Instead he walked over and sat down next to the fire Ping had lit earlier, just staring at the flames.

When Meg went to comfort Jane, he remained where he was for a little while, but soon he started to feel uncomfortable: he couldn't do anything, and Meg was far better then him to comfort Jane. Silently he left the two, if they would have needed him he would however have been back in a few seconds. Quietly he seated next to the fire, where there was already the other boy: what was his name? He thought that he neither knew it...

Jim looked up from the fire as he sensed someone. He looked at the man who was sitting not too far away, one of the people who had been around the dead man. Eventually he turned to look at the fire again. He knew all to well what could happen if you looked at the wrong person. The man sitting there didn't seem so bad, but Jim would rather be on the safe side.

Ping stayed in silence for a while, only looking at the fire, but secretly studying the boy: he seemed young, more or less he should have had his same age. How did he end up there? He had never been a curious guy, and he could stand the silence, but with the tears of Jane and Meg still in his mind he prefered try to distract himself.
"So... w-what's your name?"

Jim looked up at the man when he spoke, a bit surprised when the silence was suddenly interupted.
"You can call me Jim," he answered in a low, neutral voice. He didn't say anything for a while. "And you?" he asked eventually. He seemed like the polite thing to do, and if he was going to be together with the man and the two girls for a long time it wouldn't hurt to know a little bit about them.

"I'm Fa Ping, son of the great General Fa Ping and captain of the chinise army" he replied at his qiestion: it was something that he had said often in those days, introducing himself to ther people, but even if it was a phrase repeated parrot-fashion, he still couldn't help but pronounce it with a bit of pride. After all, this is what he had been tought. "H-how did you end up... here?" he asked after a little silence.

Jim looked a bit surprised at the man. Son of a general. He wondered what that would be like to be born into that kind of world.
"Here... uhm.." Jim was silent for a little while as he considered how much he should tell. "I wanted to try something new so I took off with the ship and then that storm came," he said, deciding that there was no point in telling the stranger about his troubles before the ship. "What about you, Ping?"

The boy wasn't really talkative, but he didn't complain about that: after all he wasn't as well, and even if he liked Meg and Jane it would have been a problem having more person that extroverted!
"I... I was escorting a princess to her marriadge..." he said without adding details: talking about the princess reminded him that she was probably dead, and that he had failed...

A princess? Jim hadn't even known there had been a princess on the ship. He wondered if a princess would travel undercover or if it would be visible that she was a princess.
Jim turned halfway round and looked back at the two girls.
"It's not one of them.. is it?" he asked a bit curious.

Ping shacked slowly his head "No... she's not... here..." he whispered in a blank voice. He tried his best to not show any emotions and luckily he managed in it: after all he had been trained to be a brave soldier, and a brave soldier wasn't supposed to be sensitive...

"I see," Jim said and turned back again. He had in silence for a while.
"Maybe she's with some of the other people.. those who were on the beach right after the storm," he suggested.

"Oh," Jim said in a low voice. He couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for the guy.
He looked at Ping, then at the fire. He wasn't sure what to tell him. It couldn't be easy to have lost the girl you were supposed to protect.

He remained in silence for a while, trying to avoid both the thoughts about Jasmine and about John's death. After a while nor he or the boy had said a word: should have had he to talk? Maybe the boy just wanted to stay in silence, and he didn't mind silence as well. So i prefered to stay quiet. Only after a while he started to feel the hunger: he raised and, before to go to bring a banana for himself, he turned to Jim to ask him "Ehm... Are you hungry?"
