In the moonlight...

Shan yu looked at the woman, going to get her clothes. He handed them to her. "An exchange?" He said in a soft tone meaning his shirt.

She swallowed at his words and, still without looking at him, she slowly took from him her clothes and, still slowly, moved away from his shirt. Her glance was down, staring into space: she was feeling dizzy, without knowing if she wanted to cry or threw up. She was disgusted of herself. What had she done? She was still naked, just keeping the clothes that Shan Yu had given her in front of her body, barely covering herself: she still had to find the strenght to dress up...

He picked up his shirt and put it on him. He glanced at Ping, seeing she was having some inner battle again. He decided to not get involved in it and started to head back to the tree.

She remained where she was while he went away, still that disgusted expression on her face, still staring into space. Only when he was gone she kneeled down, covering her face in the hands and biting hard her lips until she felt the blood's taste in her mouth. She didn't cry. At least not this. But she didn't know what answer to herself: why had she done it? How could she? She wouldn't never been able to look herself in a mirror again...
