A book holds more wisdom than a human.

BriarRose had taken her book with her to the living room to sit by the fireplace and read. As she reached the living room she did as she planned. Enjoying the warmth of the Fireplace as she continued reading her book.

Jane was on her way to nowhere actually as she came by the living room. She thought a moment and then walked in. As she saw the blond woman sitting near the fireplace, she hesitated and looked back at the door. But... Where should she go instead? Jane sighed and shrugged. Slowly she went towards the blond woman and sat down next to her on a pillow. She took another one and hugged it. "Hello...", she said shyly.

Rose looked up from her book to see Jane suddenly sit there. Well it is getting more interesting every time. ''Hello, Miss Porter.'' She said smiling at the woman. This was what Shan-Yu liked? A fragile looking woman, But she was pretty. Maybe she had to get to know this woman. And she could see what kind of woman she was.

Jane smiled shyly back. "How do you know my name, when I didn't know yours?", she frowned slightly. "I don't like being called Miss Porter. I'm Jane.", now she smiled directly at Rose. "Can I ask for your name?"

Rose closed her book, ''Shan-Yu told me.'' She was lying. If she did not know the names of her guests than why would she invite them anyway? She had to know who she allowed here. ''My name is BriarRose, Nice to meet you Jane.'' She nodded and laid the book down next to her.

Jane tilted her head for a second and then smiled. "Nice to meet you BriarRose.", she looked around in the living room. "It's really nice here. Not exactly what I had seen in the jungle in Africa, but nice too. And more comfortable. The nature has his own fascinating beauty too.", she put the pillow in her arms next to her. Jane felt more relaxed now.

''I know, It is beautiful. But when the sun goes down it is rather dark and mysterious. It hold allot of secrets. I am sure you have been exploring?'' She smiled at Jane. ''You have already found a treasure haven't you?'' She asked.

Jane smiled. "Dark and mysterious? Seems really interesting, but I guess Ping won't let me go out then.", she laughed. "Although I would try anyway.", she leaned back on her arms and raised an eyebrow. "What kind of treasure do you mean?"

Independent woman. BriarRose smirked. ''Oh don't tell me you don't know..'' She saw Jane's clueless expression. ''I mean Shan-Yu, You two seem close.'' She grinned. ''But don't you worry...There are allot of men here so when it does not work out the way you want to, You can still find another man.''

Jane frowned slightly. "We aren't that close. And who said I want another one when I can't have him?", she shook her head. Did she talked to Shan Yu about their hours in room 6? What had he told her? "Who said I need a man?", she giggled. "I guess there are a lot of women in England who would say I need one.", Jane wrapped her arms around her knees. "I never acted like a real lady. But I guess you are a real lady, miss?"

She grinned. Before Leaning on her hand. ''I have never met a real man in my whole life. And I see you are very independent.'' She nodded. ''So you are from England? I guess there are many lady's there who don't even dare to stand up for them selves and only nod yes.''

Jane sighed. "A lot yes. But they all fail turning me into a real lady.", Jane smiled. "You never met a real man? I have to say...", she hesitated a moment, like she thought what she should say next. "I never met one in England. They are gentleman yes, but stupid.", Jane sighed and stroke through her hair. She leaned a bit forward to Rose. "What does a man need to be a real man?"

''A real man for me? A man who is not overwhelmed by emotions, Feelings can take away the best of a man. And once a real man let's his feelings take over his charm simply goes away with it. I like my man to be a mystery but yet interesting. I don't have to feel safe by somebody.'' She shrugged. ''How about your point of view. What do you think is a real man? Or better who do you think is a real man?''

Jane tilted her head. "What a real man is for me?", she looked at the ceiling and thought for a moment. Then she looked back at Rose. "For me a real man... He's strong. He can protect me and I feel safe. I think... emotions are important. But you don't have to talk about them all the time. You understand each other without talking.", Jane layed her head on her knees. "I just want to feel like I found my missed part.", she chuckled. "I'm a dreamer. Sometimes I can be so romantic."

She raised her eyebrow. ''And you think you can find your dream prince in Shan-yu? He is not a real man, Let me tell you that.'' She laughed not too loud but still her laugh was rather cold. ''Well I will wish you good luck with your adventure to find the real man for you, I hope you will find him one day.'' She looked towards the fireplace. ''A independent woman does not need a man, You just told me yourself you don't need a man but yet you say you want to feel that you found your missed part. So you tell me you need a man to complete you.''

"Does it have to be a man?", Jane asked innocently and softly. "And yes, I said I don't need a man. And I don't need one. But when I find the real one, man or woman, I want to feel like I found my missed part.", she had heard the cold laugh, but it didn't bothered her. "I never said he's a prince. I don't want a prince.", Jane frowned. "I saw to many princes in my life and I can say they are getting on my nerves. Most of them are more ugly frogs."

She laughed again coldly. Standing up as she shook her head. ''You are very naive, You really think princes have any eye for you? You have no right, You are a woman. And even saying that you even want to find a real woman is disturbingly. Two woman's together as a couple is more than taboo, If people catch you being too close with another woman you are considered a witch and be sentenced to death. Really you want to die for love? It's all just between the ears. You cannot love somebody neither fancy somebody. All you do is please yourself. Once you see the man you want you'll just go to him and take everything you want from him. It is not love. Just what you want you take it.'' She picked up her book. ''And I thought you were one of the wise woman in the house.''

Jane sat on the pillow and smiled. "Take whatever you want, huh?", she asked softly. "But as a woman with no rights, as you said, I would be killed, even if I try to take whatever I want.", she shook her head. "Maybe that's why I'm traveling and avoid peoples. You can have anything you want, without being bothered.", she layed down on her back and looked at the ceiling. She and wise. Jane smirked. Not at all. Just learned a hard truth. "I already said I'm a dreamer sometimes. And I'm weird.", she laughed a bit.

''I wasn't talking about the average woman I was talking about you. Why not think about your attitude. Before you go looking for a man. At least I know how to behave in front of other people.'' She nodded. ''Excuse me, I am going to rest. Have a good night.'' Rose said as she walked out of the living room. Leaving Jane alone. So rude.

Jane sat up and looked after Rose as she left the room. She was still smiling. "I was talking about myself. And yes, now I know you are a real lady.", she giggled. This could be kinda funny. Jane stood up and left the living room as well. She had stopped wanting to be a real lady before a few years. Nothing was more senseless than behaving like other people want you to behave. She shook her head. So senseless. She knew she was clumsy. More naive sometimes. But nothing could change her mind to be a real lady again, or not? She smiled.
